About
The Least Glamorous Product We Are Proudest Of
Nobody photographs a primer coat. But when our own restoration crews ranked the products they would not work without, the tie-coat won, because it is the difference between quoting the roofs you can get and quoting every roof on the street. WatchGuard Primer exists as its own line because adhesion is its own discipline, and because a universal primer this good deserves better than a footnote in someone else's catalog.
WatchGuard is a product family from Oak Ridge Foam & Coating Systems, a Wisconsin manufacturer that has been formulating and spraying polyurethane foam and protective coatings for decades. Every WatchGuard product is built on that plant-floor experience: formulas that get sprayed by the people who make them, tested on real roofs, floors and walls before they ever carry the shield.
Primer in the Family System
Every other WatchGuard line leans on this one. Roof systems spec the 7001 over single-ply and metal; Floor and Concrete lines call it up for sealed or coated slabs; even foam work uses it where coatings meet unusual substrates. If you run any WatchGuard system, the primer is the handshake between your substrate and everything above it.
Applicators: Stock the Pail
Coating contractors who standardize on the 7001 qualify for case and pallet pricing.
